Sony Ericsson has joined the open handset alliance (OHA) and announced from the start that it plans to release an android phones series.
The new android phone is about to join the already existing brand name of XPERIA (also known as the code name of Rachel)
The leaked specification is as follows:
* XPERIA branding clearly visible
* Qualcomm Snapdragon platform(QSD8250) (the same 1GHz as will be used on the HTC Dragon and the Acer Liquid
* 8.1-megapixel camera with Autofocus and Flash (the highest resolution till date!)
* Pressure sensitive touchscreen
* 3.5mm headset jack
* MiniUSB
It seems like this android phone is standing in line with the newly rumored set of the next super-android-phones...
there is much to wait for, lets just hope that the price will be more promising too. Update Sony Ericsson has released a new video, perhaps to steal some attention from the Droid
